In 2018 we founded TIMETRAVEL.BERLIN as a virtual time travel agency. Since then we have been developing authentic, historically based VR time travel experiences. With our international team we currently are realising the VR simulation 20s.BERLIN, a virtual time travel to the European metropolis of the roaring twenties. We understand our start-up as a “classic” studio that bundles, controls and implements both its own and its clients’ projects centrally and as a “one-stop shop”. Our rousing VR simulations are based on Unreal and the latest real-time VR and AI technology. In addition to technical tasks, we also take over the dramaturgical component: virtual storytelling. What drives us? First and above all, the fascination for the almost infinite possibilities VR and AR offer in connection with “time travels”!
To support our team in Berlin, we are looking for an intern (m/f/d) as soon as possible.
You are a team player, interested in VR and have a feeling for storytelling. You consider new workflows as exciting as new tools. You are able to organise and structure your activities largely independently and are confident that you can support us in 3D, engine implementation and motion capturing.
What experience/knowledge/skills should you bring?
– 3D modelling basics (Maya, 3dsMax, Blender)
– Unreal 4 basics
– Blueprint scripting experience
– Motion capturing experience
– Character modeling experience
We are expanding our team in Berlin and are looking for a texture artist (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible.
Your job is to texture props, characters and vehicles for our VR 20s.BERLIN. You structure and organise your tasks professionally and independently and complete them reliably on time.
What experience/knowledge/skills should you bring along?
– Substance Painter/Quixel Mixer
– High-to-low poly-baking
– Trimp-Sheet Workflow
– UE4 Material authoring
To support our team in Berlin we are seeking a qualified character artist (m/f/d) at he earliest date possible.
For our VR 20s.BERLIN you develop and create real-time characters on AAA level – fictional as well as historically documented. You are well-versed in character creation based on reference photos and bring along profound knowledge of human anatomy. You structure and organize your tasks professionally and independently and complete them reliably on time.
Which competencies/knowledge/skills should you have?
– creation of credible characters full of life and personality in high-poly and low-poly models
– distinct organic modeling capabilities
– knowledge of the main 3D software packages (Maya/Max/ZBrush)
– experience with Character Creator 3 and IClone
To reinforce our team in Berlin we are looking for a qualified environment artist (m/f/d) at he earliest date possible.
You develop and create realistic environments for our VR 20s.BERLINtthat look exactly like the 1920s original. You structure and organize your tasks professionally and independently, and complete them reliably and on time.
Which competencies/experiences should you have?
You are perfectly proficient in all common texture and modelling applications. In addition you bring along not only competencies in organic and hard surface modelling but also in vegetation and are realtime and VR experienced? Then you are pretty much who we are looking for!
Let’s be honest: We’re a start-up. With all known advantages and disadvantages. In any case, a team of true believers awaits you. So you should also “burn” a bit for your new job and the vision behind it. If you are able to improvise and willing to look for unusual paths to figure out good solutions, then our Berlin VR studio is your place to be!
First of all, we want to be sure that you have completed at least 17 courses of study and of course we aim to see all those prizes and awards you have received for your work so far. You should bring along many years of work experience but at the same time be quite young…
Joke aside! Actually, the most important thing for us is that you know your job. That you are as obsessed with the details as we are. That you are only satisfied when the result of your work is really good. We also consider important, that you are a teamplayer, because we don’t want our team members to work only side by side, but together. Towards this rather ambitious goal, we once set. Furthermore we would like you to appreciate your independence – because that’s what we do, too. Whether you prefer to work early in the morning or at night, in our studio or at your place – we believe that’s rather secondary. As long as the communication works and you deliver reliably.
If you feel addressed, send your application documents including work samples/portfolio to Peter Langer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are looking forward to you!
